Technical and Economic Conditions for Viable Industrial Projects
DATE: October 29, 2026
TIME: 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
FORMAT: Online | French (slides in english), fully in english if there is a significant number of non-French-speaking participants
Dear Members,
Industrial heat pumps are increasingly viewed as a key technology for electrifying process heat. For industrial companies, the crucial question is where they can be effectively integrated and under what conditions they become economically viable.
FEDIL therefore invites you to a webinar organized in partnership with Armstrong International, focusing on concrete industrial applications, integration challenges, and project economics.
Webinar language: The presentation will be held in French, with english slides unless registrations indicate a significant number of non-French-speaking participants. The Q&A session may take place in French or English, depending on individual preference.
What You’ll Learn – Practical Case Studies
- Steel, cement, and glass: High-temperature heat recovery and thermal integration, including applications related to carbon capture processes and hydrogen.
- Industrial utilities: Electrification of steam-condensate systems, waste heat recovery, and combined cooling and heat or steam generation systems.
- Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals: Process water at approximately 90 °C, HVAC for cleanrooms, and thermal integration around distillation processes.
The webinar will outline the key viability factors: temperature difference, coefficient of performance, availability of suitable waste heat sources, integration into existing processes, and the ratio of electricity to gas prices.
Participants will also receive a presentation on the EU 2026 Heat Auction focused on the electrification of industrial process heat.
