Following the workshop organised by Creos on 17 April 2026 concerning the future electricity tariff structure for medium-, high-, and very-high-voltage consumers (MT, HT and THT), FEDIL has published a position paper outlining the main principles and conditions necessary for a successful reform of Luxembourg\u2019s grid tariffs.<\/p>\n

FEDIL welcomes the objective of modernising the tariff structure through a stronger capacity-based approach and the introduction of more pronounced time-of-use signals. These elements can contribute to a more efficient use of the electricity network, facilitate renewable integration and support the development of industrial flexibility.<\/p>\n

At the same time, FEDIL stresses that the reform of network tariffs should not be approached solely from a technical cost-allocation perspective. The future tariff framework must also contribute to preserving the competitiveness of Luxembourg\u2019s industrial base and support the electrification efforts required for the energy transition.<\/p>\n
