On 5 February 2025, FEDIL had invited its business community to participate in the first « FEDIL Digital & Innovation Meet-Up » of the year, a networking forum for members involved in the development, management, and implementation of digital transformation, innovation and research. This FEDIL event format aims to showcase cutting-edge projects, pioneering initiatives, and transformative technologies.
Following a welcome and introduction by Georges Santer, Head of Digital and Innovation at FEDIL, the event opened with an insightful presentation by Dr. Serge Linckels and Marco D’Amico from Digital Learning Hub Luxembourg and 42 Luxembourg, who highlighted the Hub’s innovative training offerings aimed at equipping professionals with essential digital skills.
Next, Prof. Numa Bertola from the University of Luxembourg, delivered a presentation titled « Bridging Sustainability and Concrete Structures. » Introduced by Bertrand Dessart from the University of Luxembourg, Prof. Bertola emphasized the urgent need to revolutionize concrete design. He showcased innovative strategies that integrate digital tools, advanced sensing technologies, and material science to reduce the carbon footprint of concrete production.
The session continued with an engaging presentation by Sebastien Wiertz from Paul Wurth InCub, on « The Art of Prompt Engineering ». He delved into the nuances of prompt engineering, illustrating its significance in harnessing the potential of generative AI.
The meet-up concluded with a networking reception, offering attendees the opportunity to exchange ideas and foster new collaborations.
