René is Managing Director of FEDIL. He arrived at FEDIL in 1991 and was initially an economic attachee and consultant. In 2006 he was appointed secretary general. Within FEDIL, René was responsible for the Department of Industrial Policy. He represented the interests of the Luxembourg industry in several national and European consultative and decision-making committees and has actively contributed to the work of BusinessEurope within the Committee on Industrial Affairs. He was also general secretary of the Groupement Pétrolier Luxembourgeois, where his experience in the fields of energy and environment came to bear. In addition to his professional commitments, he was vice president of the Conseil supérieur pour un développement from 2004 to 2010 and served as a lecturer in economics at the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP). He holds a master’s degree in economics – management and international business relations of the Louis Pasteur University of Strasbourg.
René is fluent in French, German, English, and Luxembourgish.
