Digital transformation is at the heart of business concerns. New digital technologies, and particularly the rise of artificial intelligence, are boosting productivity, improving energy efficiency and paving the way for new data-driven business models. With this in mind, we want to help companies with their digital transformation and raise awareness of the opportunities and risks of digitisation. The subjects covered by FEDIL include cybersecurity, e-administration and e-government, Industry 4.0 and related digital technologies. By establishing itself as a key interlocutor on subjects related to artificial intelligence, FEDIL offers platforms for information and exchange between its members and partners, takes a stance on regulatory issues and seeks dialogue with political bodies.
Research and innovation are crucial to meeting the two major challenges of energy transition and digital transformation. In order to support our members in their research, development and innovation (RDI) projects, FEDIL works closely with Luxinnovation, the innovation agency. We believe that RDI activities should be at the heart of a high-performance, future-oriented economy. This is why FEDIL maintains good relations with public research players and advocates greater collaboration between public research bodies and businesses.
To encourage creativity and innovation in companies and to honour those responsible for research and innovation projects, FEDIL organises its Innovation Award every two years.
FEDIL Digital & Innovation Meet-Up
Through the "Digital & Innovation" meet-ups, FEDIL encourages the sharing of ideas, collaboration and the strengthening of synergies between players in research, innovation and digital transformation. Organised two or three times a year, these meetings are aimed at professionals directly involved in the development, management and implementation of digital and innovative projects.
FEDIL AI Forum
The purpose of the quarterly forum on artificial intelligence is to bring together FEDIL members of the AI community, to identify the concerns of companies relating to the development or use of AI and to share their solutions and recommendations. Open to AI users, developers and integrators, this forum is an essential instrument for contributing to the establishment of a framework and appropriate conditions for the development of AI.
FEDIL NIS2 Forum
Through the NIS2 Forum, FEDIL members affected by the NIS2 Directive are coming together to understand the implications of its implementation, foster collaboration between the different sectors concerned and make a significant contribution to strengthening cybersecurity and resilience in the Luxembourg ecosystem.
FEDIL Innovation Award
Every two years, FEDIL attributes its Innovation Award in various categories. The aim of this award is to encourage creativity, innovation and research in companies, and to honour those responsible for research projects whose innovative and original solutions benefit the Luxembourg economy.
Luxembourg AI Excellence Awards
In a context where AI is rapidly transforming business models, industrial processes, and innovation, FEDIL launched the "Luxembourg AI Excellence Awards" in 2025. This national competition, organized in partnership with Luxinnovation and with the support of the Chamber of Commerce, aims to celebrate excellence in artificial intelligence in Luxembourg.
Digital Innovation Hub for ‘Industry 4.0’
To support its members in their reflections and steps towards digital transformation, FEDIL, together with Luxinnovation, has launched the Digital Innovation Hub Luxembourg – L-DIH, an information, awareness and networking platform for companies on issues related to digitalisation in industry.
The L-DIH will facilitate contacts between, on the one hand, companies that need access to digitalisation skills, technologies, services and support mechanisms and, on the other hand, suppliers of digital technologies and services that meet the needs of the industry.

Survey on Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI
The survey on the adoption and impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) in Luxembourg’s industry aims to provide an up-to-date overview of how these technologies are being integrated across companies. Conducted by FEDIL in partnership with the Luxembourg AI Factory and Luxinnovation, it seeks to assess the evolution of AI adoption, identify key challenges and opportunities, and better understand industry needs in terms of skills, training, and funding.
D9+/B9+
FEDIL is part of the B9+ Group, a network of business federations and confederations liaising with the D9+ Group, an informal alliance of Digital Ministers from the EU’s digital frontrunner Member States, including Luxembourg.
